ISOC Rwanda Chapter through Rwanda Safer Internet Day (SID) Committee has organized the first edition of Safer Internet Forum in 2 schools located in Bugesera District with the theme of “THE FIGHT AGAINST ONLINE CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIAL (CSAM)”.

on Tuesday, 9 February 2021 – we will be millions across the globe celebrating Safer Internet Day 2021, joining forces “Together for a better internet”.

While we recognise that celebrations may look a little different this time around as we adapt to COVID-19 constraints, we hope that SID 2021 will still be a vibrant and engaging celebration, allowing us all to reflect on our increased use of digital technologies as a result of the pandemic.

The theme of 2021 Edition is Children Online Safety with focus on the fight against Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).

Internet Society Rwanda Chapter conducted a 2 days Workshop for teachers from Rural Areas of Bugesera district to empower them with Digital Skills to enhance the use Internet in Classwork.

In Rwanda, the first annual edition of Safer Internet Day (SID) took place on Tuesday, 11 February 2020, at G.S NYIRARUKOBWA, a public school located in Bugesera District, Eastern Province, with a campaign slogan of “Together for a better internet”.
