We are now going to use Internet in our schools.

This was stated by NIYONGABO Jean Damascene, Head teacher of G.S KATARARA in the closing ceremony of the Internet for Education workshop organized by Internet Society Rwanda Chapter.

The workshop was held from 05 to 07 November 2021 with the participation of 30 teachers from primary schools in JURU sector of BUGESERA district.

The teachers who attended the workshop were trained on on computer basics, Internet Essentials and how Internet can facilitate education.

NYIRANSHIMIYIMANA Annualite, one of the trained teachers, thanked the organizers and explained that she had gained knowledge on the use of the Internet in education.

NDACYAYISENGA Selverien, who is also one of the trainees, said that he gained the skills to help him find information online, send e-mails and participate in Internet learning.

Internet for Education Program intends to empower teachers from primary schools with Digital Skills to enhance the use of Internet in Education.

So far,212 teachers were trained by ISOC Rwanda Chapter through Internet for Education Program.
